Have you ever closed your eyes, or stared off in the distance, and imagined what your life could be like in the future?  What are the things that you imagined in your mind?  Have you imagined yourself moving to a new city or country that you’ve always wanted to?  Have you imagined yourself starting a business, or growing the business that you’ve already started?  Do you have a talent, and you know that with the right development, you could make a nice income for yourself, and be paid for doing what you love?  Do you wish that you had someone to talk to about these things?  Do you wish that you had the right person in your corner to bring these things to life?  The good news is that there is a person like this, and that person is a professional Life Coach.

Let’s take a look at a couple of things.  First, the things that come to us in our imagination are concepts, or dreams.  Dreams are very powerful, and very important.  America, as we know it, was started with a dream.  First, the explorers that discovered and named America dreamed that they’d be able to find a new way to sail to the Orient. Then a couple of hundred years later, the early settlers from England dreamed that they could live in land that offered personal and religious freedom.  So many innovations that are a part of our daily life started with a dream.  Dreams can seem so far out, and many times people will scoff at our dreams.  A Life Coach is one person who is there to believe in your dreams.

Life Coaching is the practice of coaching clients on their journeys to personal or professional success, whatever that means to them.  Everyone has dreams that are unique to them.  The issue that most face is how to verbalize their dreams, how to set goals that will help realize their dreams, and how to take daily steps that sets the clients up for success. A Life Coach takes care of all of these issues.  In this sense, A Life Coach could also be called a Success Coach.  Their main purpose is to set their clients up for success, and to show their clients that personal and professional success can be a reality.

A person who is a dreamer is someone who is open to new ideas, methods, and outcomes.  This type of person is a perfect candidate for life coaching.  A Life Coach will challenge a client to think outside of the box when it comes to achieving their goals.  The Life Coach will help the client do an inventory on what is working in their lives, and what types of things are challenges or hindrances.  The goal of course is the learn how to eliminate hindrances, and other negative self-defeating patterns.  Many times a person will need the help of an outside professional.  A Life Coach can be exactly what they need.
